Geordy Pearson is a freelance photographer, specializing in both studio and location photography.
Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Geordy honed his skills shooting photos and videos of his brothers and friends surfing, skating and snowboarding. Documenting surf trips down to Baja and Central America, weekends in the mountains, and road trips everywhere in between, sparked a deeper interest in story telling, travel photography and portraits. A high school internship at Transworld Media helped focus a confidence in visual storytelling as a career.
7 years in New York City were spent assisting the likes of Ellen Von Unwerth, Josh Olins, Matt Irwin, and Christopher Griffith before moving on to shoot for clients such as Michael Stars, Free People, GOOP, Lucky Brand, Vuori, and Under Armour amongst others. As well as shooting a cocktail book for Keith McNally's iconic Lower East Side Bar/Restaurant Schiller's, published by Clarkson Potter.
Geordy's stint in NYC was ended with a 6 month trip around the world via Iceland, France, Spain, Morocco, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Bali, Java, The Philippines, and Hawaii, before returning to Southern California to reside in Los Angeles for 8 years.
He now splits time between Abiquiu, NM and LA, but loves to travel anywhere for work.
